Can You Lift Your Voice up to the Clouds

Can you lift your voice up to the clouds
And harmonize your heartache
When the sky is blue with grayness
And sings a lonely song?
Do they listen?

Are there cirrus ears to hear you
Or stratus arms to hold you
When heaven hangs a heavy head
And slumps its saddened shoulders?
Do they nod with understanding?
Do they hear the words you cry?

Are cumulus smiles contagious
When you lie back
And know who made them?
Do they answer with assurance?
Do they speak in silent psalms?
Do you listen?

Can you lift your voice up to the clouds
And sense a stilling softness
When telestial time is ticking
And you feel you’re left behind?
Do they know?
